911 Levy

Gallatin County 911

What is the 911 Mill Levy?

In 2006, the voters of Gallatin County voted to fund Gallatin County 911 Communications Services with nine mills, which raises $3,175,533 annually. However, with the historic growth of Gallatin County over the last 14 years, that amount no longer fully funds Gallatin County 911.

Voters are now asked to decide on an additional six mills, which will raise approximately $2,117,022 annually.

How much will it cost me?

The estimated annual tax increase for a home valued at $400,000 is $32.40.

Why now?

As Gallatin County has continued to grow, so has the demand for services. Money will be used for necessary capital and operational needs, including additional staff to answer calls and improve radio communications for first responders across Gallatin County.
